Academically talented high school students may apply to enroll at UAH as Dual Enrollment students. Dual enrollment refers to students being enrolled- concurrently in two distinct educational institutions (for example, high school and UAH). Benefits of a dual-enrollment program include:
Upon the successful completion of courses, students seeking Dual Enrollment may receive college credit. There is no limit to how many courses a student can enroll in, and Dual Enrollment students will receive a scholarship equal to the cost of 1/2 tuition per class!

Charger Status allows you to:
Apply Online through your Charger Status account.
Log in to your Charger Status account and submit your application.
Complete your application by submitting the required documents.
Send your official transcripts to UAH through an electronic delivery service. UAH accepts official transcripts from Parchment, Student Clearinghouse, and Scoir.
If your school does not have access to these services, request that they send your official hard-copy transcripts to:

While test scores are not required for admission to the Dual Enrollment program, they are encouraged as test scores may be needed for some courses that require a pre-requisite.

If applicable, have any official AP/IB credit sent directly from the testing agency to the Registrar's Office to have your scores evaluated for UAH credit. Official AP scores can be requested at collegeboard.org.

Send the Dual Enrollment Approval Form signed by parents/guardians, school counselor, and principal to dual.enrollment@uah.edu.

Continuing Enrollment
For each term you wish to enroll as a dual enrollment student, you will need to submit a new Dual Enrollment Approval Form indiciating the courses you wish to take.
Dual Enrollment students can take any classes for which they have met the prerequisite requirements. You can view the course descriptions and prerequisite requirements for each class in our Course Catalog.
UAH awards a half-off tuition discount for each dual enrollment class per semester. Students are responsible for paying the remainder of their bill no later than the first day of the classes for the semester they are attending. Visit the Bursar site to view payment options.
Please contact the UAH Office of Admissions to find out if your high school currently participates.Yes, but the UAH Dual Enrollment Coordinator must be notified, and the Dual Enrollment Approval Form is still required.
